Beginning with the cohort enrolling in June 2024, students will apply through the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis, pending all UC and California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) approvals. Applications for June 2024 entry are expected to open in late 2023, pending approvals.

Attend a Virtual Information Session
Attend a virtual information session to learn more about your program of interest. During these live events, faculty present an overview of the academic program and the admissions process, and answer prospective students' questions. Additional virtual information sessions will be posted here as they are confirmed:
- Oct. 7, 12-1 p.m. BSN Entry to Doctor of Nursing Practice (Advanced Nursing Focus) — Register for the information session.
- Oct. 13, 6-7 p.m. Post-Master's Entry to Doctor of Nursing Practice (Leadership Focus) — Register for the information session.
- Oct. 23, 12-1 p.m. MS Healthcare Administration and Interprofessional Leadership (MS-HAIL) — Register for the information session.

Update on Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN)
As a leading academic institution, our school continuously evaluates how well our educational programs are meeting the contemporary needs of our students and our ability to address the demands of the ever-evolving health care environment. The school has paused the Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) while our evaluation of our academic offerings continues. Due to the pause of MEPN, the program option for licensed vocational nurses to study to become an RN is also paused.
In fall 2025, as planned, the school began the process of reassessing the decision to pause MEPN. MEPN remains paused during this reassessment, which will take time. Please refer back to this page for updates.
Update on Master of Science and Post-Mater's Certificate Programs
The UCSF School of Nursing has transitioned our nursing Master of Science graduate degree program to the BSN Entry to DNP pathway — Advanced Nursing Focus program. New admissions to the Master of Science and Post-Master's Certificate programs are closed.
