Jason Flatt, Annesa Flentje Awarded Funding to Advance New LGBTQI Certificate Program

Assistant professors Jason Flatt, PhD, MPH, and Annesa Flentje, PhD, have been awarded 2019 Innovations Funding for Education for their proposal, Developing UCSF’s Graduate Certificate in LGBTQI Clinical Practice and Research.

The funding will support Flatt and Flentje in doing formative work to develop an LGBTQI certificate program that provides UCSF students and professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver inclusive health care for and conduct health research with LGBTQI patients.

Flatt and Flentje are partnering with colleagues from each of the UCSF schools, the Graduate Division and campus leadership.
