The appointment of David Vlahov, BSN, PhD, RN, FAAN, as Dean of UCSF School of Nursing has been announced by UCSF Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann, effective April 1, 2011. Vlahov joins the UCSF community from the New York Academy of Medicine, where he serves as the Senior Vice President of Research and Director of the Center for Urban Epidemiologic Studies.
Currently serving as Interim Dean is Sally Rankin, RN, PhD, FAAN, associate dean for International Programs and director of the UCSF World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Research and Training in Nursing (succeeding Kathy Dracup).
