Collins Presents at NCCGAPNA

Sharon Collins, a student in the UCSF School of Nursing Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program, presented at the recent November 2016 meeting of the Northern California Chapter of GAPNA (NCCGAPNA). As the NCCGAPNA Student Scholarship winner, Collins’ shared a report from her attendance at the September 2016 National GAPNA conference held in Phoenix. Her presentation provided information on herself as a person, a student, and a future Nurse Practitioner, and how attending the conference impacted her.

The NCCGAPNA promotes high standards of health care for older persons through advanced gerontological nursing practice, education, advocacy and research. NCCGAPNA offers annual scholarships to the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA) Pharmacology and annual conferences for students and new grads. Collins was the 2016 Student Scholarship awardee.
