US News 2017 Top Rankings for School of Nursing

The School of Nursing is thrilled to share that U.S. News & World Report has once again named us among the best graduate schools nationwide! More details on UCSF’s rankings can be found here.

UCSF School of Nursing ranks Number 3 overall, and Number 1 among public universities. Nursing schools are also evaluated in specialty categories, and all of our programs ranked in the top ten:

  • Nursing Midwifery, No. 1
  • Adult / Gerontology, Primary Care, No. 6
  • Adult / Gerontology, Acute Care, No. 10
  • Family, No. 5
  • Pediatric, Primary Care, No. 3
  • Psychiatric / Mental Health, Across the Lifespan, No. 4

The new U.S. News top ranking for our midwifery program follows the 40th Anniversary milestone celebration in October, further validating our efforts to establish UCSF as a leader in training the next generation of nurse midwives.
