The School of Nursing is thrilled to share that U.S. News & World Report has once again named us among the best graduate schools nationwide! More details on UCSF’s rankings can be found here.

UCSF School of Nursing ranks Number 3 overall, and Number 1 among public universities. Nursing schools are also evaluated in specialty categories, and all of our programs ranked in the top ten:

  • Nursing Midwifery, No. 1
  • Adult / Gerontology, Primary Care, No. 6
  • Adult / Gerontology, Acute Care, No. 10
  • Family, No. 5
  • Pediatric, Primary Care, No. 3
  • Psychiatric / Mental Health, Across the Lifespan, No. 4

The new U.S. News top ranking for our midwifery program follows the 40th Anniversary milestone celebration in October, further validating our efforts to establish UCSF as a leader in training the next generation of nurse midwives.

This outstanding distinction reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, alumni, and donors. We hope you share our pride that the UCSF School of Nursing continues to be recognized as a top school with excellence in teaching, research and clinical practice.
