I am pleased to announce that Molly Vitorte, PhD, will join the School of Nursing on July 2, 2018, as the Chief of Staff to the Dean.
Molly, who is currently working as Deputy Director of the Human Rights Center in the School of Law at Berkeley, has held appointments at the University of California Office of the President, and at Stanford University. Throughout the last 6 years, she concurrently serves as a fundraiser for undergraduate education at UC Berkeley.
She has prior experience as a chief of staff, having served in an interim capacity for the Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education at UC Berkeley (2015-2016).
A university administrator, lecturer, and published author, Molly has written on topics such as international human rights and staff diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education. Her previous human rights and humanitarian relief work includes forensic investigations in the former Yugoslavia for the international war crimes tribunal and elections monitoring in Mozambique.
Molly is a graduate of the 2016 UC-CORO Leadership Collaborative Northern California cohort. Her interdisciplinary PhD was earned at UC Berkeley in the area of Latin American Studies; she holds a BA from the University of Washington.
