Job Description:
Reporting to the program coordinator of the scientific writing program, the student editor will provide peer editing for students who request editing services for their academic assignments.
Responsibilities:
Student editors will edit student assignments, academic papers, scholarship/fellowship applications or other School of Nursing student role-related work. They will provide assistance with general paper organization, grammar, sentence and paragraph structure, flow of ideas and simple APA format.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in editing and writing academic and scientific papers is required.
- Must be a current UCSF student.
- Previous editing experience is preferred.
Time Commitment and Compensation:
The compensation will be $22.88 per hour. This is a part-time, temporary position. 20% effort (up to 8 hours/week). Hours are flexible. Student editor can accept or reject assignments based on schedule and own workload.
