Biography
Julie Poepoe is a family nurse practitioner and clinical educator who cares for patients across the lifespan, with a focus on primary care and preventive health. She is dedicated to supporting both patients and learners, fostering a collaborative and compassionate clinical environment. Her professional interests include women’s health, chronic disease management, and advancing nursing education. She is actively involved in curriculum development and clinical training, with a focus on preparing future providers to deliver equitable, high-quality care and addressing the impact of social determinants of health on patient outcomes. Her research interests include social determinants of health, with a particular focus on improving food insecurity screening and intervention in primary care settings.
