Kt Waxman, DNP, RN, FAAN

I am a nurse leader who spent the first half of my career in hospitals in nursing administration and the second half in academia. My faculty practice and research interest is in clinical simulation and I lead the California Simulation Alliance (www.californiasimulationalliance.org). My experience is in nursing leadership and I am certified as a nurse executive through the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. I have 3 Fellow designations: FAAN, FSSH, and FAONL.
I have been at UCSF since 2021 having been at USF for the past 12 years leading their Executive Leadership DNP Program. I have held leadership positions as the President of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, Treasurer of AONL and President of ACNL and I remain an active member in all three professional organizations. I am an author of 3 books and numerous book chapters in both healthcare finance and simulation. My latest book, "Financial and Business Management for the DNP has just launched into the 3rd edition.
