ABOUT THE UCSF PRETERM BIRTH INITIATIVE
The UCSF Preterm Birth Initiative (PTBi) is a multi-year, transdisciplinary research effort aimed at contributing to the reduction of the burden of prematurity. PTBi will bring together researchers, clinicians and community advocates at UCSF and partner institutions to apply innovative ideas and approaches to the epidemic of preterm birth, the leading cause of newborn deaths around the world.
ABOUT THE PTBi COLLABORATORY
The Collaboratory is a forum for open interchange of ideas and information to collectively develop solutions that will decrease the global burden of prematurity. We aim to foster transdisciplinary collaboration among unlikely partners. Each Collaboratory will feature a different set of speakers who will lead interactive discussions to describe current knowledge, identify gaps and generate new solutions among our collaborators at UCSF and beyond.
