UCSF School of Nursing’s Top NIH Grant Recipients

In 2018, the UCSF School of Nursing captured $9.1 million in competitive grants and contracts from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), making it the top-ranked public school in the field for the 16th year in a row.

The School’s research faculty uses these funds to deepen the understanding of health-related issues and drive improvements in patient care and health services. Its top NIH grant recipients from 2018 received funding for their research in diverse areas, such as cancer symptomology, substance use disorders and diabetes care.
