Shirley Chater, RN, PhD, FAAN, the national advisory committee chairwoman for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Executive Nurse Fellows program since its inception in 1998, has stepped down from her post, the Foundation announced. RWJF recently named her a "Force Multiplier" for being a nursing trailblazer and pioneer.

The Family Heath Care Nursing Department is pleased to announce the award of a major HRSA Advanced Nursing Education 3-year grant for Interprofessional Care of Childbearing Families. Led by Jenna Shaw-Battista, RN, CNM, NP, PhD the funding will enable enhancement of UCSF’s perinatal/neonatal interprofessional curriculum and expand our use of innovative instructional technologies. Faculty will receive mentorship and consultation to develop expertise in interprofessional education technology integration.
