Healthcare Executive Leadership Program

The Healthcare Executive Leadership Program is an intense six-month initiative for senior or newly appointed executive-level health care leaders. Intentional and engaging residency experiences, executive coaching and project-based learning will provide participants with the knowledge, skills and awareness to effectively lead large and complex health care organizations, facilitate and manage systematic change, embody executive presence, and engage in policymaking activities to advance health care locally, regionally and nationally.

National leaders in health care administration, policy and patient care will serve as instructors for this program, and aid the development of the participants in:

Deepening their understanding of personal leadership abilities and in the development of a plan to enhance the leadership abilities of others within their organization
Acquiring the skills required to embody executive presence, in addition to facilitating and managing systematic change
Gaining the knowledge necessary to engage in and advance local, state, and federal policymaking, academic and workforce planning, as well as to lead succession and strategic planning efforts
Fostering a strengths-based organizational culture that allows for successful systems change and quality improvement efforts, leading to equitable systems at all levels

Immersion Experience 1	Held in San Francisco, CA, covering the following topics: • Leadership and Organizational Change in Health Care • EQ in Health Care Leadership • Career Planning • Executive Presence in Health Care Leadership • Creating a Culture of Coaching in Health care • Leadership, Strengths and Organizational Culture • Creating a Culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Health Care
Immersion Experience 2	Held in Washington D.C, covering the following topics: • Strategic Planning in Health Care • Succession Planning in Health Care • Healthcare Policy and Advocacy • Panel Discussion: Priorities and Legislative Agenda • Lunch with Organizational Lobbyists • Capitol Hill Legislative Visits • Workforce Planning • Panel Discussion: Academic Practice Partnerships • Leadership, Wellbeing and Resiliency
Immersion Experience 3	Held in San Francisco, CA, covering the following topics: • Creating a culture of quality/performance improvement via evidenced-based practice, patient safety and risk management • Healthcare Economics and Financing • Organizational Financial Management, Planning and Strategy • Culture, Innovation and Creativity in Health Care Leadership • Project Plan Presentations and Panel Feedback
Executive coaching sessions	These sessions will be scheduled between both residencies 1 and 2, and residencies 2 and 3.
