The UCSF Global Health Nursing Fellowship is not accepting applications for the 2017-2018 academic year. The UCSF Global Health Nursing Fellowship is a 10-11 month residency program focused on nursing education and partnership development. The Fellowship is a partnership with the non-profit Partners in Health (PIH), and supports two UCSF-trained Nurse Practitioner residents per year to work at Sainte-Thérèse de Hinche (STH) Hospital in Hinche, Haiti. The Fellowship will provide the holder with experience in program development, clinical teaching and clinical experience necessary for a career as an advanced practice global health nurse in a resource-limited setting.
Candidates with the following minimum requirements are eligible to apply:
- Master of Science in Nursing or RN with MS in Global Health Sciences
- California RN licensure
- California NP or CNS certificate for MSNs only; to be obtained prior to beginning fellowship National certification as a NP or CNS within six months of graduation for MSNs only
