Student Financial Services

Online Financial Aid Services:

Students can access their 2012-13 UCSF Financial Aid Award online, and also see if they have any outstanding financial aid holds. The Student Financial Aid Office sends you an email as soon as your financial aid awards are ready for viewing online.

Fall Quarter Aid Disbursement:

Fall financial aid will be disbursed by 9/27/12.  Students must be considered registered (i.e., filed study lists) and have no registration holds before financial aid checks can be released. Furthermore, financial aid cannot be released if any award is left in “pending” status online.  We strongly encourage all students to sign up for direct deposit so that financial aid can be deposited directly into your checking or saving account.  The process takes approximately two weeks.  If you have not signed up yet, please do so at: https://finaid.ucsf.edu/continuing-students/financial-aid-disbursement#When

Deadline to pay Fall Quarter Tuition Payment Deadline:

The last day to pay the balance of your fall quarter tuition is 10/3/2012.  Please check your billing statement from the Office of the Registrar via the MyAccess Account for details.

Change in the Federal Direct Loan Program:

The subsidized portion of Federal Direct Loan Program has discontinued effective July of 2012.  Therefore, students who begin the 2012-13 academic year on or after July 1, 2012, are no longer eligible for a subsidized Direct Loan.  The Federal Unsubsidized Direct Loan annual limit is $20,500 for nursing students.

  • All masters nursing students must take a minimum of 8 units each quarter for financial aid.
  • All doctoral nursing students who have not yet advanced to candidacy must take a minimum of 6 units each quarter for financial aid purposes. Student who have advanced to candidacy are considered to be enrolled full-time regardless of the number of units they are taking.
