San Lorenzo HS Health Center is one of 5 school-based health centers operated by La Clínica de la Raza and one of 24 in Alameda County. San Lorenzo HS is located in a diverse, medically underserved and geographically isolated section of Alameda County, with a high proportion of students coming from poor and immigrant families. Using a multidisciplinary team, the HC had 730 enrolled clients who made 3289 visits during the 2010-2011 school year, with 1600 medical visits. The clinic provides physical exams, vaccines and preventive care, reproductive health, urgent care, and psychosocial and educational support. Clinic services are funded through MediCal, Family PACT, and Child Health and Disability Prevention billing, and additional County support.
