The International Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Clinical Training in Nursing, within the UCSF School of Nursing, offers a minor in HIV/AIDS.
This program provides students with additional expertise in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention and care, with courses addressing issues such as epidemiological concepts, public health policies, clinical pharmacology, HIV/AIDS chronic illness care, and sociocultural issues. HIV/AIDS training at the UCSF School of Nursing taps into unique UCSF and San Francisco resources, and links students with nationally and internationally recognized HIV/AIDS experts and Centers of Excellence in HIV research, education and clinical training.
Students are required to complete 6-9 units of HIV/AIDS coursework to complete the minor. These courses may not overlap with the requirements of the student’s specialty. Courses that count toward successful completion of the minor:

If a student finds a course at another school (eg. Berkeley), s/he can petition to have it count toward the minor.
