Dr. Christina Baggott, an assistant professor in the Department of Physiological Nursing, has been awarded a Mentored Research Scholar Award by the American Cancer Society.
This award is designed to support junior faculty members to become independent investigators as either clinician scientists or cancer control researchers.
During the five year award period, Dr. Baggott will receive mentoring from Drs. Bradley Aouizerat and Christine Miaskowski to study potential genetic influences on the chemotherapy-induced nausea experienced by cancer patients.
