My areas of research are chronic illness management, asthma self-management and adherence, chronic symptom management and adult primary care improvement. I am active in the American Thoracic Society, National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, and in the Symptom Management Nursing Faculty Group at UCSF School of Nursing.
