News - Family Health Care Nursing

The Family Heath Care Nursing Department is pleased to announce the award of a major HRSA Advanced Nursing Education 3-year grant for Interprofessional Care of Childbearing Families. Led by Jenna Shaw-Battista, RN, CNM, NP, PhD the funding will enable enhancement of UCSF’s perinatal/neonatal interprofessional curriculum and expand our use of innovative instructional technologies. Faculty will receive mentorship and consultation to develop expertise in interprofessional education technology integration.

IN MEMORIAM

Helen Marie Martin, RN, MS, FNP, died in a tragic accident on Friday, January 20th, 2012.  She was the Clinical Director at Valencia Health Services (VHS)--a pediatric practice formerly co-sponsored by UCSF School of Nursing--from 1999 until its transition to the Mission Neighborhood Health Center in December 2009.
